After the pilot RACFA training provided for the Dutch Ministry of Internal Affaires and Emergency Management, the Dutch Red Cross has asked Auriex (represented as the Tactical Medical Faculty) to become a member of a management board for standardisation of Tactical Medicine Training in the Netherlands. The partners are: Academic Hospital of Amsterdam (who is the official promoter for the Stop The Bleed Program), The University Hospital of Leiden (for input on trauma management on Emergency Room level), the Red Cross as governing body for First Aid in the Netherlands and Auriex (Tactical Medical Faculty) for the field execution of Tactical Medical Training. The first meeting for this group is planned for end of September 2018 (again, summer recess July-August).

There is a RACFA course planned for 1 and 2 September 2018 here in Belgium which is now a fully booked course. This course is of course Tacmed Faculty and RACFA certified. (This course is advertised on our FB, LinkedIn and website).

° Auriex has won the tender for the next 3 years for HEAT delivery for the EUCAP Niger mission. As this course contains the RACFA protocol, we have incorporated the certification process in this new tender and thus, for the next three years (4 HEAT trainings per year) . Dates for the HEAT courses will be announced soon, but again, the entire EU administration is in summer recess (July-August). -
° The Stop The Bleed training that we have set up, first one to be held on the 30th of July 2018 is overbooked and we have more and more interest. As this is the first course, we wanted to see if there is any interest and it seems there is. We have participants from Holland, Germany and Belgium (and this for a 2,5h course). So, as we discussed previously, we would like to the Stop The Bleed course to be a part of the Tacmed Faculty courses. We are now planning 2 more sessions for the coming months (dates to be decided soon). -
° We are working on getting two Universities (one in Italy and one in the Netherlands) to partner with the Tacmed Faculty to have a University Medical Faculty as members. This is of course a long process but the first steps have been taken. -
-
° Auriex has delivered the 6 pilot trainings (RACFA - short) for Europol and this has been received with the necessary enthusiasm. The tender for the next 4 years is in progress and it looks like we will win. The decision is to be taken shortly, if we win, RACFA will be delivered as their standard.

° Due to the amount of interest for RACFA courses which we have received and the certainty of contracts coming our way, Auriex is organising an instructor course for RACFA. The first training (tactical and weapons skills) is planned for the 24 of July 2018 in the Netherlands, and has 10 participants for the moment. These people will than do the medical part of the instructor training and will become registered through AREMT . -
° All talks with the Belgian Military and Federal Police are on hold due to the summer recess, however, we are preparing these and planning the approach. -
° Auriex was present during an Emergency Management day organised by the Dutch Government last month, where we provided information on the program and the faculty. This brought some very interesting leads, which are being followed up as soon, AGAIN, summer recess is over. -
° Auriex will be presenting the Faculty during the Day Of Emergency Services in the Netherlands on the 30th of September 2018 (http://nationalehulpverlenersdag.nl) where we will be presenting the faculty and the RACFA program to a ton of interested parties. -
° Our representative (Robert), has been to Nepal to present RACFA and the Faculty to the Nepalese army on their request. -
-
We have also created a new brochure which is brief but very well represents the faculty and the training program

Besides the above, Auriex has spent the last three months developing training aides for the upcoming trainings (published on LinkedIn, FB) including Massive Bleeding simulators, wound simulators and IV simulators.
